History
They say foster kids and single parent families have very little chance at being well adjusted individuals. Whilst Ethan isn’t the nicest person he’d say his fathers abandonment and his mothers drinking made him the man he is today.
Darleen Shelton and Bud Dandridge were fighting the day that Ethan was born and for the next six years of his life that’s how they continued. The fights were broken up by work, meals and bathroom breaks. The air was so thick Ethan dared say a word in case his mothers or fathers reaction sparked a fight that would end up with dinner on the wall or on the floor. Though they always ‘made up’ at the end of the night Bud waited until his sons sixth birthday to tell him that he had to be the man of the house from now on.
“There’s only so much madness a guy can take Ethan,” he rested his hand on the boys shoulder, “It’s your turn to be the man now son,” and he’d picked up his bag and left, never once looking back and not hesitating on a single step.
Or course the blame for his leaving fell squarely on Ethan’s shoulders. It’s a tragic thing when a parent blames their helpless children for an event said parent was actually entirely responsible for but Ethan bore his cross and grew up with quick feet, a sailors mouth and a tough as nails skin. With nothing but contempt and bullying to be found at home Ethan mimicked the behaviour he grew up around and soon became the school bully in whatever school got the lucky task of trying to curb his aggression and teach him something worthwhile. After being kicked out of two high schools Ethan decided the only schooling he needed was the one life gave you and he dropped out to take up a construction job.
That saying about single parent households turned out to be true, live life teetering the edge between good and bad and pretty soon you’re going to have to choose a side. Ethan chose the only side he knew and met some unsavoury people along the way. It was easy to avoid taking shit from nobodies at school but in the big wide world he realised he was a peanut in comparison to some.
And how did he remedy it?
By playing them all at their own game. He became hired muscle. Had a problem Ethan Dandridge and a few select others could apply the right pressure to smooth it all out – for a price. Of course this sort of behaviour landed him in and out of jail a fair few times. Funnily enough sleeping with the arresting officer doesn’t get you bail…
Personality
Ethan can put anyone into one of two groups. Weak and Strong. Just because you look strong doesn’t mean you are, and just because you look weak doesn’t mean you are – but if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck then chances are…
He strikes first and asks questions later, if he’s not in charge he’s not interested and if he feels like people are giving him attitude then he has no qualms about showing them why that’s an unwise decision. He’s aggressive, chauvinistic and rarely thinks he’s wrong.
Despite being hot headed Ethan’s not stupid, he realises that no man is an island and although he’d rather be in charge of his group safety often lies in numbers – but the number doesn’t have to be very big…If he thinks someone is bringing them down he’ll cut them out, his stubbornness is from his belief that he knows best but that doesn’t mean he can’t be persuaded otherwise if it turns out it makes sense.

Useful skills
Knows how to aim, shoot and hit the head. Alongside his gun talents he can defend himself pretty well, good with his fists and quick on his feet. Strong as is required when your hired muscle. He'd say his smart mouth is a useful skill but he understands if a certain someone begs to differ.
